I understand that being a wedding planner would be difficult. I can remember the stress from my wedding but #2 on the list of most stressful jobs that pay badly. I am a little suprised but I guess I can see where she is coming from.

Wedding planning is tough job. I think most would be shocked to learn that they are often making minimum wage if they tallied up all their time and expenses in running this type of business.

Wedding planning has so many difficult elements to get just right. Brides are often very specific about their special day. I'm under enough stress just making sure the ceremony is perfect! The rest of the day, someone else can handle it!

It is really bad that I have to read this post just today. I just want to check out different things about weddings and good thing I bumped into this post. It has been 2 years since this post was written. With regard to the pay that event planner are receiving it might be that you are not asking for a higher professional fee. I have known many planners that really are being compensated well.

You are right, this was not a peaceful job. You always get busy and no time to relax, you also have to meet the deadline with quality outcome for every event you organize, from event planning to actual presentation. Really tiring and yet, not that well paid and compensated. I used to be one of it. But I quit.
